Your static data

You must give us static data. We will ask you for this data each time you apply for an operation for the first time.

Tell us if your data changes

You must let us know if your static data changes. Allow us at least three days to make the changes. We will try to do it faster if we can.

The data collection form must be completed and signed by your firm’s authorised signatory.

SMF data collection form

CNRF data collection form

Send us your firm’s authorised signatory list with the form. Your list must include:

  • the full name of the participating institution
  • the effective date of the list
  • certification by the company secretary (or equivalent person able to certify) that the signatures are true and authentic
  • whether each authorised signatory can act alone or if joint signatories are required.

Email your signed form to cmc.ssi@bankofengland.co.uk.

We assume the signatory list you give us is valid and up to date. You are responsible for letting us know if the signatory list you have given us needs to be updated.

Our records are based on the information you give us on your form. You are responsible for making sure that information is accurate.

If you do not complete the form correctly, you send it late or you send it to the wrong email address - we may use obsolete account details for collateral or payment instructions.

Gilt purchases form

Gilt Purchases applicants should use the gilts data collection form.

Eligible collateral

When we lend through our market operations, we lend against collateral delivered to us by firms. This collateral must be high quality enough so we can sell or keep it if a counterparty fails to repay us.

We have set out the eligible collateral for each of our Sterling Monetary Framework operations and for the Contingent NBFI Repo Facility, as well as any legal documentation you will need to use (where applicable) on our eligible collateral page.

Managing collateral

How we manage collateral

We use a pooling model to manage the collateral we hold. Find out more about how this works in our Frequently asked questions document.

There is more information about how we manage collateral in our Sterling Monetary Framework operating proceduresTerm Funding Scheme with additional incentives for SMEs operating procedures and CNRF operating procedures.

View and manage your collateral

Use our Collateral Management (CM) Portal to view and manage your collateral when you sign up to our operations. Our user guides tell you more about the portal and how it works.
