About the programme
The Career Returner Programme provides a supported route for individuals returning to work after an extended career break. The programme runs for 12 months and includes professional coaching, mentoring, and access to a community of career returners. Eligibility requires a minimum two-year career break prior to the programme start date. Professional work experience is necessary, and candidates from a range of backgrounds are considered. Financial experience is not required for all roles but may be beneficial for some. Flexible working options may be available depending on the role and area of the Bank.
- The programme is offered on a fixed-term contract basis.
- Locations may vary by year and according to business needs but include Leeds, London, or hybrid arrangements.
- Salary details are provided in job adverts for each hiring area.
Development opportunities include induction, coaching, mentoring, and ongoing support. Previous participants have joined areas such as Monetary Analysis, Financial Stability, Strategy and Risk, Financial Market Infrastructure, Prudential Regulation Authority, Legal, and Resolution.
