Doing research with us

We are keen to collaborate with experienced academics and researchers. If you are interested in working with us on the topics outlined in our research agenda, as well as the specific yearly priorities, we want to hear from you.

If you are interested in collaborating with Bank researchers, please review our researcher pages in the first instance and get in touch with researchers with similar interests to your own.

We encourage PhD students to apply to our PhD internship programme. You will work closely with our researchers on a research project.

If a research proposal involves the use of confidential data held by us, external researchers will typically work on the project with our researchers who can access and process confidential data. This means that external researchers will need to work with suitably aggregated data and analytical outputs (e.g. results of a regression analysis). We rarely give external researchers direct access to confidential data. This means that a project which requires the use of confidential data cannot go ahead without one of our researchers, and it is not always possible to assign a researcher to work with you given our limited resources.
