Overview
The Bank of England has two sites in the heart of the City of London – Threadneedle Street and Moorgate.
The Threadneedle Street office is grade I listed building and the site of many of the Bank’s key processes, such as the Monetary Policy Committee meeting – where the interest rate is decided. It is also where we keep the gold and the £100 million banknotes (our Titans).
We have operated from a site in Moorgate for about ten years. It is an intuitively designed, modern office in the City of London, just a three-minute walk from Threadneedle Street.
