Biography

Marjorie Ngwenya is an external member of the Prudential Regulation Committee.
Marjorie is also a Trustee of Legal Resources Trust, South Africa and Chairperson of Canon Collins Education and Legal Assistance Trust, UK.
Previously, Marjorie was an Independent non-executive Director of Tangerine Financial (2021 – 2023) and of Bidvest Life Ltd (2018-2022), Rand Mutual Assurance (2018-2022), Tangerine Life, Nigeria (2019-2022) and African Bank, South Africa (2019-2020). Marjorie was President of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFOA) 2017-2018.
Marjorie was a Trustee of South African Maths Foundation (2018-2020) and Common Purpose International, UK (2018-2020).
Marjorie holds an MSc in Leadership and Strategy from the London Business School. She is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. She holds a Certificate in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors, London.
