This December, we’re delighted to run our Christmas event for the third year running. Visit us during our December Late and celebrate the festive season in style!
Christmas bauble workshops
We are doing things a bit differently this year, so please read the below so you know what to expect on the night:
1. We’re running timed entry slots for the free bauble workshops
Last year’s event proved to be much more popular than anticipated, so we’re running timed entry slots to take part in the free bauble workshops. You will need to book a ticket for the workshops via our Eventbrite page (one ticket per person). Unfortunately, if you arrive after your slot has started, or you do not secure a ticket for the event, we won’t be able to provide you with a bauble.
2. You’re still very welcome to visit the museum without a ticket for the bauble activity
You won’t need a ticket to access the Museum, but priority access will be given to people who have booked tickets for the timed entry workshops. This is still a chance to visit the Museum outside of our normal opening hours and explore our exhibition and displays with a festive twist! There could be a bit of a queue, so wrap up warm!
3. Please tell us in advance if you have any additional / access needs
We expect the event to be popular and that tickets to the bauble-making workshops will go quickly. Based on experiences from previous years, the Museum can get warm, busy and noisy. We want to make sure you have all the information you need to make an informed decision about your visit, so please email Museum.Events@bankofengland.co.uk if you have any accessibility queries or needs that you would like to discuss with us in advance.
4. Please cancel your tickets for the workshops if your plans change!
As you’ve probably worked out already, the event is likely to be extremely popular. The event is free, but please cancel your ticket if your plans change so other people can still book tickets if you can’t make it.
