Currency of the Future

Visit a free pop-up exhibition of artworks exploring what the currency of the future might look like, as part of the London Design Festival

About the exhibition

We’ve teamed up with KesselsKramer London and a roll call of exciting artists to imagine the currency of the future. This exhibition lets artists, photographers, illustrators and designers imagine what money should become from their personal perspective.

Visit the museum throughout the week to see these works of art on display, and to think about what the currency of the future might look like to you. This pop-up exhibition is part of the London Design Festival.

Barter Bank

In addition to the pop-up exhibition at the Bank of England Museum, KesselsKramer will open a Barter Bank for one week only at their Shoreditch gallery. The KesselsKramer Barter Bank is an interactive installation where we invite participants to make an exchange of art which is produced in the exhibition space, or online. When you visit, you will be invited to create a piece of art which is then exchanged for another piece of art from another participant. Whose art will you get and who will get yours? Let the algorithm decide.

The KesselsKramer Barter Bank is part of the Shoreditch Design Triangle and is located at 32 Charlotte Road, London EC2A 3PB.
