Slavery & the Bank: School and family resource

A resource for families and schools to talk about the transatlantic slave trade

The Transatlantic Slave Trade: A legacy of inequality in the UK

Want to explore the legacy of transatlantic slavery with your family or students?

We’ve partnered with the Economist Educational Foundation to help you start meaningful conversations with young people at home or at school.

This resource uses objects from our past exhibition to explore the history of the transatlantic slave trade and pose questions about the legacy of inequality today through contemporary news stories.

This resource is designed for young people aged 9 to 14 years old, and should be guided by an adult.
