Limiting the amount of the transitional measure in future years

4.1

The PRA’s default assumption is that once any limit on the amount of the transitional deduction has been determined, it will not need to be assessed again unless the transitional deduction is recalculated at either the firm’s or the PRA’s initiative. Assuming the deduction is not recalculated, it is expected to run off linearly each year from its starting amount until it reaches zero.
